Mickey and Minnie Cookies
Are you a Disney addict? We are! We have season passes to all of the Disney parks in Orlando. We did the during the week pass since we are homeschoolers and it isn’t crowded. We also love to kick back and watch Disney movies and of course make Disney snacks like these Mickey and Minnie Cookies!
They may look complicated but follow my directions below and you’ll see how fun and easy they are.

1 teaspoon cream of tarter

Icing Directions:
Separate the egg yolk from the whites. put the egg whites into a mixing bowl and trash the rest of the egg. Add the sugar, cream of tarter and vanilla extra to the egg whites. Beat on medium speed for 6 minutes.
If the icing has a yellow color and looks like soup add in more powder sugar. about 1 cup. Once the icing is done, pour it into a container that has a lid to it.
-divide the icing into 2 bowls. Put more of the white icing into the bowl for white and less into the other for the black color.
-in the bowl for the black icing add some black gel coloring to make the icing black. add a little more gel coloring to get the color you want.
-scoop black icing into a piping bag with #2 tip and the set aside in the fridge.
-scoop some white icing into a piping bag with a #2 tip.
-for the white icing. add in 1-3 tablespoons of water to thin the icing out. you want it to be thick and runny, not soup like. If it is soup like add in 1/4 cup of powder sugar to thicken it. pour into a squeeze bottle
cookie decorating directions:

Outline the mickey head and circle with the white icing in the piping bag, then fill it in with the icing in the bottle.

-let cookies dry for 3 hours before decorating.
Paint pallet directions:

-Draw out little circles on a piece of printer paper and the place under wax paper on a cookie sheet. Using the icing in the bottle, fill in the circles and then set aside and let dry for 5 hours. Once dry, get your color gels and a small paint brush.
Using the flesh colored gel, dip the paintbrush into the gel and brush it onto the white circles. Repeat same process with remaining colors. Let it dry for 2 hours before you peel them off.
Once dry, peel the paint dots off the wax paper. squeeze a small dot of the white icing in the piping bag on the back of the dot then place onto the circle cookie. Repeat with other colors.

Cookie coloring directions:
While looking at a picture of Mickey or Minnie, using the black icing draw the face onto the Mickey head cookie. Let dry for 30 minutes
Once dry, take a slightly wet paintbrush and drag it across on of the paint colors on the pallet. Paint your cookie.
